You can still bring your ex back! That’s right. Even if you’ve broken up in a horrible way and she says she never wants to see you again, all is NOT lost! Relationships are fragile and breakups are common. It takes two people for a relationship to work, after all, and it’s pretty easy for one person to slack off and let the other do all of the work of holding the pairing together. When the one shouldering the entire burden of making things work gets tired of working alone, a break up is usually the result.
When a breakup happens, the one who has been dumped will usually have one of two reactions:
1) She’ll be relieved to be done with an uncomfortable relationship and eager to move on, or
2) She’ll realize what a horrible mistake she made and desperately want to get back with you. Naturally, it will be a lot easier to bring your ex back if she’s having the second reaction. However, even if she seems glad to be rid of you, things don’t necessarily have to be over. There are things you can do all by yourself to make her look at you in a new light and want to be with you again. Here are 3 of them.
1. Don’t Be Needy
Neediness is unattractive. If your ex feels glad to be done with you after the breakup, she’ll feel like she really dodged a bullet if you start to act needy and clingy. The more desperate you become for her affections, the more it’s going to drive her away. Hold onto your self-respect and act like a man (even if you don’t feel like one). She’ll respect you a lot more for it, and may start to reconsider her stance on being apart from you.
2. Minimize Contact With Her
Of course, your first reaction to a breakup will probably be to call her constantly, send her texts every hour, and show up unannounced at her door three times a day. This is counterproductive. Not only will you come across as desperate, but being in contact with her immediately following a breakup will only open up more opportunities for the two of you to fight. Fighting in the immediate aftermath of a breakup is a sure way to erase any chance you have of getting her back. You broke up because something wasn’t working in your relationship and it needed a break. Do both of you a favor and take that break, for at least a month. Then, you can re-visit things with a clear head and calmer emotions.
3. Learn to Compromise
Don’t give your ex any mandates. Too many guys do this thinking that they can scare their ex into returning to them. This tactic almost always has the opposite effect. Don’t tell her things like, “If you walk out that door, don’t ever come back!”, or “You have to decide right now if you want to be with me.” The breakup happened because something wasn’t working in your relationship. To find out what it was, you’re going to have to listen to what your ex has to say and give her time to figure out what she’s feeling. If this takes a while, that’s fine. It’s better that she come back to you knowing exactly why she wants to than bullying her into staying when she’s not sure about things.
You can bring your ex back with a little patience and understanding. It may not be easy, especially when you’re longing for her to be in your arms, but the wait is well worth it.
Many relationships are stronger the second time around. By using the above techniques, you’ll be providing both of you with the best possible chance of a lasting future together. If you really love her, you’ll give her the time she needs to realize how much she loves you back.
